On Sunday, September 18, 2011 the men's open soccer team started their North Jersey Soccer League season with a 5-2 home defeat to ADIGHA F.C. of Wayne, New Jersey. With a limited roster, Hakoah opened their season with a 4-4-2 formation. Early in the first half, a Harel Nahar corner found its way into the back of the net, giving Hakoah a 1-0 lead. Unfortunately, two first half strikes by ADIGHA left Hakoah trailing at the break.

In the second half, a defensive build up led to the equaliser. The defense spread the ball right to Ron Glickman who took a few steps before passing to midfielder maestro, Harel Nahar who slotted Saeed Baba into the box. Baba side stepped a few defenders and squared the ball with the goalkeeper onrushing to Michel Asayag who tapped in the equalizer.

ADIGHA took the lead again as Hakoah slowed down in the second half. While searching for an equalizer, the quick counter attack proved too costly for the white and navy as they slipped to a daunting 4-2. After a glancing header by Saeed Baba went just wide, ADIGHA sealed Hakoah's fate with the final nail in the coffin. Hakoah's next scheduled match is on the road against EFC.
