The Hakoah men's soccer team braved the heat today, Sunday, July 17 at University Stadium for a successful preseason scrimmage. Players arrived to Fairleigh Dickinson University to a cool 85 degree heat that turned brutal as the morning wore on.

Later, the field was shortened to accommodate the slow pace of the game. The white team dominated the orange team through the great midfield work of Jonah Silk (S. Orange/Drew) who fed some great balls to Dov Glickman (Teaneck/Harvard). If it were not for the great defensive work of Josh Pransky (Fair Lawn/Yeshiva) and goalkeeper Alex Nazarov, the match could have ended a lot worse for the orange team.

Midfielder Phil Robinson (Teaneck/Skidmore) was a crucial part of the orange team's midfield buildup, but could not connect with Rafi Friedman (Teaneck/Cornell). We anticipate a great season for the Hakoah men's side and wish midfielder Jonah Silk much luck on his trials this week in Sweden!

Hoppauf Hakoah!
