TEANECK, N.J. – Near perfect conditions set the stage for Dov Glickman's side as they looked for their second straight win against Emeralds F.C. at University Stadium. There were a few slight changes in the line-up from the side that dismantled Prestige International the week before. Phil Robinson slid to the back line putting Josh Pransky on the bench and Jonah Silk returned to patrol the left side of the midfield.

Hakoah drew first blood in the fifth minute when right midfielder, Omry Lifschitz found Michel Asayag who slotted it in the net from close range. With every Emeralds attack stymied by the brilliant defensive work of Sjur Gundersen, Hakoah dominated possession. In the 23rd minute, a Mathieu Gouverneur goal kick found Saeed Sulemana-Baba who made no mistake against the 'keeper, doubling Hakoah's lead. Ten minutes later, Jonah Silk beat Emerald's Jeff Hurm before dispatching a rocket at the goal, hitting the crossbar and coming out. Shortly after, Silk squared a ball to captain Harel Nahar who slotted it to the far side of the net, 3-0 to the sky blues.

Just before halftime, Jonah Silk sent in a beautiful cross to Ofir Singal who brilliantly chested the ball to an onrushing Michel Asayag sending Hakoah to the locker room with an insurmountable lead of 4 goals to nil.

Three minutes into the first half, defender Phil Robinson crossed a ball in the box, striking an Emeralds defender's hand. Referee Zeno Gyu Ho did not hesitate, pointing to the spot for Hakoah's second penalty kick of the season. Captain Harel Nahar stepped up to the spot and cooly slotted the ball past the keeper before running toward the media and kissing the Hakoah badge.

With Hakoah's foot off the gas, Emeralds were able to pull two back via midfield maestro Omar English and forward Giuseppe Fabrizio. Midfielder Omry Lifschitz finished off the night with a highlight reel chip over the goalkeeper from outside of the penalty area.

With the win, Hakoah moves into fourth place and take on Real Wyckoff at Van Saun Park in Paramus on Sunday, December 4 at 12:00.
